Dear Sir,
We share the concern of D Wong regarding the issuance of identity document for MM2H participants as highlighted in the letter to the Star on 5th February 2010.
The Ministry of Tourism recognises the need for MM2H participants to have an identity document to facilitate their movement within Malaysia. In this regard, an identification card for MM2H participants has been issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia since March 2009. This service, however, has been suspended temporarily until a technical problem regarding the system is resolved. Once the issuance of this identification card is resumed, we shall notify MM2H participants via our website at www.mm2h.gov.my.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your kind understanding in this matter. We welcome any further enquiries regarding MM2H programme at the MM2H Centre at Level 23, Menara Dato Onn, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), 45 Jalan Tun Ismail, 50695 Kuala Lumpur. Our MM2H officers can also be contacted by phone: 03-26963365 (general enquiries on MM2H programme) and 03-26963305 (for specific enquiries on Immigration matters) or email at Alamat emel ini dilindungi dari Spambot. Thank you.
