Industry Development Division

1. To develop and strengthen the structures, functions and roles of organisations or institutions associated with the tourism service industry so as to strengthen the planning and implementation of tourism development.
2. To upgrade and diversify tourism products, activities, facilities and services based on the strengths and uniqueness of local resources.
3. To develop and promote domestic tourism.
4. To develop and upgrade human resources in the national tourism service sector by enhancing the skills and efficiency of the tourism service sector through courses and seminars.
5. To promote tourism investments through the provision of incentives, tourism funds and advisory services.
6. To formulate regulations and guidelines to enhance the quality of tourism facilities.

1. To provide advisory and consultancy services on issues relating to the Industry Development Division within three (3) minutes at the counter.
2. To release the results of the Basic Tourist Guide Course examination within 30 working days from the date of written examination is held.
3. To release the results of the Level II Basic Local Nature Tourist Guide Course examination within 30 working days from the date of written examination is held.
4. To release the results of the Tourist Guide Confirmation Course examination within 30 working days from the date of practical examination is held.
5. To process the application for the Tourism Loans:
1. To process and call applicants for presentation within 14 working days from the date of receipt of complete documentation.
2. To announce the presentation results within 7 working days from the date of the presentation.
6. To approve and issue the Tourism Project Registration Certificate within 20 working days from the date of receipt of complete documentation and site visit report.
7. To issue the letter of support to Tour Agency / Travel Operator for tourism industry incentive within 5 working days from the date of receipt of complete documentation.
8. To issue the Training / Course certificates within 5 working days from the date of receipt of reports from organisers, subject to the fulfilment of specified procedures and requirements.
